Questions

Common questions.

Do I need a licensed private investigator for this?

Our work is open-source research: we gather and analyze information that's already publicly available. That's different from licensed investigation, which involves obtaining information that isn't publicly accessible. We don't pretext, surveil, or access restricted records. If a matter genuinely needs a licensed investigator, we'll tell you.

What sources do you use?

Publicly available sources only: public records, court filings, corporate registries, published data, news, and the open web and social media. No pretexting, no surveillance, and no restricted databases.

How is this different from a background check?

A background check is a regulated consumer report used for hiring, credit, or housing decisions. We don't provide those. Our briefs inform business decisions like due diligence, partnerships, and litigation, and aren't used for employment, credit, or tenancy screening.

How much does a research brief cost?

Briefs start at $2,000 and are scoped per engagement based on depth and turnaround. Tell us the decision you're facing and we'll quote it.

How long does a brief take?

Most briefs are delivered within several business days. Faster turnaround is available depending on scope.

What do I receive?

A clear written brief with findings, an assessment, and the sources behind them, delivered in language you can act on.

Every high-stakes call starts with what you know.

Tell us the decision. We'll scope the brief.

Send the details in confidence and we'll come back with scope, timeline, and a fixed price. No obligation.
